Blogs on OpenPlans
last modified November 20, 2007 by egj
New this week: blogs, the new text editor, project homepage selection, and workflow improvements.
We've added a big new feature to OpenPlans: your project can now have a blog. To add a blog to your existing projects, go to the project preferences screen and select the "Blog" checkbox. You'll now have a blog (powered by WordPress) which your project's administrators can post to and members can submit posts for review.
In addition, we've made a few other improvements:
- Xinha is now the text editor sitewide; please let us know if it's missing any features you need for editing.
- Projects can now choose whether their homepage is the wiki, mailing lists, task tracker, or blog; go to your project's preferences page to select a new homepage.
- People invited to projects by email can now join the project in the same step as joining the site.
- People can now request membership to a project without yet having an account on the site.
As always, we love to hear from you; please drop us a line and tell us what you think!
