About this group:

This is a group for organizers of grassroots, non-profits, for good meetup groups in NYC. We meet to share ideas, space, resources, and to coordinate our events and efforts.

The group mission, name, activites, and so on will be determined through a community process. At this point, the name is only temporary.

Goals:

• A directory of grassroots groups in NYC with brief intro of each group's focus to help people find the grassroots group they need;
• Increase communications among various grassroots groups organizers in NYC, to help each group better serve their core missions, help each group to build its brand so people can easily participate, at the same time be aware of other groups efforts in related areas;
• Raise and identify common problems to bring to attention in order to address those problems with combined force;
• For meetup groups, maybe we can sumbit our requests to meetup.com collectively
