Meteor's core goal is to allow Zope / Plone like development, with a hub like WSGI, for cross-language concerns, e.g. to use WSGI for non-python, and to extend Zope/Plone running on PyPy, CLR, JVM, etc.. using PHP, ASP, JSP, Clearsilver, etc..
