  • The problem is poverty. It strikes at least half of the world's population. 1/6 of the population live on less than one dollar a day. 20.000 die each day! 3 million people die each year because they are too poor to stay alive.
  • Microcredit is a great way to lessening poverty. It means lending micro loans to extremely poor people with no collateral. Though many people think that they don't pay back because there is no collateral they do. It started in Bangladesh, and has now been copied on five continents.
