2007-07-10 # c1 -1-1331747417 (2 Con Edison trucks)- Noisly idling outside from 1am to 5 am. No work being performed. 22nd bet 10 and 11 aves.

Log of 311 Quality of Life Noise Complaints

This is good for horn honking or loud radio music. Otherwise it should be a Dept. of Environmental Protection complaint, as per the 311 person on May 24, 2007. This to be verified.

 

  1. Public Space Usage 03-07-08 An A-Frame advertising sign on s-w corner. Filed with sanitation dept # 2008ml9903133. Received call from Dept. of Sanitation on 3-10 saying the sign had been removed. And indeed, it had. SUCCESS!
  2. Public Space Usage 03-07-08 Giant billboard on co-op at 37-31 73rd street. Filed complaint to Buildings Department # 4342808. No response as of 3-16-08. Made inquiry via 311 responss page and received the following dead-end message: "The Department of Buildings investigated this complaint and assigned it to the Special Project Inspection Team for further action."

Log of DEP Noise Complaints

Department of Environmental Protection noise complaints must go through 311. Roof noise complaints will result in an inspector coming out to do a reading. Took meter reading and found noise level to be 54 Db. Identified main machine making noise. Will issue summons. Possible $300 fine. Trade Faire can postpone hearing for six months. Can't enter new complaint until old one resolved.

  1. Complaint # 1517852 made on 12/23/2006. Site Visit 01/03/07 55.5db at ac 50db reading.   02/12/07  Environmental Control Board Queens # 00181473-N  ECB phone 718 298 7300. Called ECB. On May 24, 2007. ECB said complaint paid in amount of $210.
  2. Complaint # 1574467 made on 03-28-2007. Trade Faire noise problem, truck with 18 wheels.
