  • David <Adams> from Salt Lake City (dang, I paired with the guy!)

Whiteboard

Accomplishments

  • Rob and Calvin ported the "upgrade step" feature of profiles from the CPS version of generic setup.
  • Tres and Dave fixed the "current profile" UI, breaking it out between the current baseline profile (normally not changed after initial setup) and available extension profiles;  any of these profiles may be imported or re-imported at will.
  • Ian and Chris worked on extending Rob's GS tutorial

Remaining TODO Items

  • Finish and merge the working branch for the software changes (see http://svn.zope.org/GenericSetup/branches/tseaver-bbq_sprint)
  • Adapt CMF and Plone site creation to use the new, saner API for importing profiles (no more rebinding the extensions as faux baselines!)
  • FInish fleshing out the documentation for both the framework and the underlying formats
  • Extend CMF to use the "Filesystem -> Customization" pattern pioneered for skins, using the GS profile files for the relevant items: TypeInformationObjects, DCWorkflows, ActionCategories, SkinPaths, etc.
