Hi all, Wow, it's getting closer. 1) Camp 5 early bird registration ends tomorrow. If you are planning on sending some people, please get them signed up so that we can place their book orders, etc.. The more the local volunteers can do in advance, the smoother things go. 2) Travel: The arrival/departure schedule for sprinters is here: http://www.openplans.org/projects/bbq-sprint/arrival-departure-schedule All: If you feel comfortable doing so, post your cell number on the chart so that people picking you up or trying to find you for first night dinner can locate you. Calvin: you need to buy a ticket right away and let me know how much it is so I can reimburse you. Alec: Could you fill in your departure schedule. That will help coordinate ground travel. Either I'm taking you to the airport of some TriZPUG volunteer is. We have to schedule volunteers in advance if we need them. Jackie: Check my last email to you. I need to know how to send you payment for your ticket. Paying OpenPlans directly is fine. I just need to know how to do that. Can OpenPlans receive Paypal funds? Or is there an address to which I need to send a check via snail mail? Whit, Tres, Chris: please fill in your arrival/departure times when you know them. Especially Whit, because you and Philipp may be getting here around the same time. I want to make sure we all meet up for classroom inspection and dinner on the first Friday. 3) There may be opportunity during the sprint to brief newbie sprinters on some aspect of something they will be sprinting on. You all each have your own talents and expertises. If you can be called upon to give extemporaneous presentations during the sprint if needed (presentations you have already given elsewhere, that is, or topics you feel you can expound upon extemporaneously), please flesh out what those topics could be here: http://www.openplans.org/projects/bbq-sprint/presentation-specialties Some examples were pre-filled in. Feel free to delete anything you don't want beside your name. -- Sincerely, Chris Calloway http://www.seacoos.org office: 332 Chapman Hall phone: (919) 962-4323 mail: Campus Box #3300, UNC-CH, Chapel Hill, NC 27599
