Inventory of purchased (and leftover) supplies
last modified March 4, 2007 by jimallman
Large clear plastic candy bowl
Smaller clear plastic fruit bowl
One can soft drink per person per day
incl. leftovers:
2 cases of Sprite (guess it's not popular)
12 Dr. Peppers
6 Cokes
6 Diet Cokes (because I gave three leftover cases away to a Diet Coke fiend in my department; it's not as popular as you'd think)
1 case miscellaneous generic fruit flavored soda cans (These were very popular. Grape, orange, etc.)
12 Ginger Ales
12 A&W Root Beers
12 Mt. Dews
36 Pepsis
One 16 oz bottled water per person per day
incl. leftovers:
4 28 count cases of 16oz bottled waters
One pack of granola bars per person per day
incl. lefovers:
1 48 pack count box of Nature Valley Oats 'n' Honey granola bars.
These things are very inexpensive at Costco and they are great for conferences. The peanut butter was the most popular last time. The Nature Valley Trail Mix bars are very good. I've also mixed it up with other brands like Quaker, which are smaller and more expensive by volume but have other flavors.
Linden dish soap scrubber (Pher strongly suggests filling this with 50/50 bleach and water to clean coffee urns --jimA)
Apron
Couple big rolls of scotch tape in dispensers
Roll of packing tape
Lotsa candy and bubblegum (~12 pounds)
100 name tag holders (50 new, 50 leftover)
AVERY TYPE 74536 (3"x4" soft vinyl clip name badges)
2 Coffee Urn Timers
27 Cat 5 cables of various lengths
9 power strips
2 eight port ethernet routers (these might be useless on campus, though,
except as hubs)
1 fifty foot extension cord
1 twenty five foot extension cord
2 ice chest coolers
2 perculating coffee urns (60 cup and 40 cup)
1 12-cup drip coffee maker (for decaf)
3 large display trays (for granola bars)
2 medium large display bowls (for fruit)
20 paper coffee filters (my donation)
9 large plastic tubs (for hauling, storage, and recycle bins)
20 Chapel Hill maps (need more and NEED BUS SCHEDULES/MAPS)
20 Chapel Hill restaurant guides (need more)
20 Chapel Hill visitor guides (need more)
1 brochure display stand (can hold maps, guides, and schedules)
2 pounds of generic decaf grounds (may be, like, stale; don't know if
Green Joes is supplying any decaf)
4 cans assorted non-dairy creamers
2 lb. fine grain natural cane SUGAR (still in bag, I'm shopping for a no-spoon dispenser -- jimA)
This is the fine grain natural cane SUGAR they sell at large Harris Teeters only, like the one at University Mall. That stuff is in this very convenient no mess pouring container that eliminates sugar pack trash, tastes much better than white sugar, dissolves better than raw sugar, is easier to see when you are about to run out, and stores really well. Look for the clear plastic container with the green top. It's worth the effort to find it.
1 large box Equal
1 large box Splenda
1 large box Sweet and Low
13 gallon jugs of coffee making water (found the jug on top leaking in
the storage cabinet and it had ruined a 16 port USB hub and a couple of
keyboards; haven't looked under the storage cabinet yet to see how bad
the carpet is ruined. agh!)
300 16oz. plastic cups
200 12 oz. coffee cups
200 assorted plastic knife, fork, and spoons (my donation)
500 napkins
400 plastic coffee stirrers (200 my donation)
60 large trash liners
2 large trash cans (in lab; borrowed from my boss)
6 rolls cheap ass paper towels
1 squirt bottle 409 and part of a refill bottle (for cleaning filthy
desks before class)
1 bottle windex (seemed like a good idea at the time)
1/2 small bottle of dish soap (need one of those Linden soap scrubbers
and an apron for washing out coffee urns twice a day)
2 vinyl tableclothes for 4'x4' folding tables
2 decorative cloth tableclothes for 8'x 3' conference tables (I think
there are these kind of tables in the lobby at the classroom entrance)
1 roll of duct tape (we also need SCOTCH TAPE and you may want a stapler
on hand)
1 wide tip black poster marker (mine)
