There's a lot to do in Chapel Hill.

There are a number of night clubs you might want to check out.

There is an art house theater, The Varsity, on the main block of the main drag Franklin Street and another one, The Chelsea, in Timberlyne Shopping Center about five miles north of town. They both share a website.

There are mainstream first run theaters in Southern Village (The Lumina) about two miles south of town and again in Timberlyne Shopping Center (The Regal) about five miles north of town.

The West End of Franklin Street is home to the finer restaurants and bars in town. (Joel Burton of Plone Boot Camps Dot Com recommends Lantern if your wallet is fat.) More campus oriented restaurants are on the main block of Franklin Street and surrouding side and back streets up to three blocks west. There are eateries scattered around various shopping centers near the official hotel, but you'll be hiking a lot to get to the better ones.

We'd tell you where the art museums are, but you are going to be in camp or sprint all day while they are open.

I liked the PHO (Vietnamese Noodle Soup) shop in town I went to last year. If anyone is up for that, let me know.   -- AllenSchmidt

Allen the Phở place is called Lime & Basil and is on West Franklin. I'll go there anytime you want. I'm also up for a trip to Lantern some time during the week. --BradCrittenden
