Not Bad.

Some reactions, and some initial toying around.
NOTE: This is not really an activist project. I am simply playing around with the software, to get a feel for it in hopes that I'll be prepared for any interview I may have. My fingers are crossed! :) (This will be deleted soon, as its only here for me to play with).I like the WYSIWYG editor during page editing. It's not bad; in fact, I like it. It seems very similar to FCKeditor. Seems to be quick-to-load too.
When editing, I found a butterfly in the right corner:
Kupu is a 'document-centric' open source client-side editor for Mozilla, Netscape and Internet Explorer. Inspired by Maik Jablonski's Epoz editor, it was written by Paul Everitt, Guido Wesdorp and Philipp von Weitershausen (and several other contributors).I was initially confused by the two upload points for uploading files. The first was the one for uploading the contents of the current page; the second was for attachments. I figured it out pretty quickly though.
I'm surprised the file upload stuff was not all AJAX'y. I can't say I expected it, but it would have been cool. Because of the non-AJAX'yness, the "Manage Attachment" menu folded back up when the page reloaded. This wasn't horrible, but I had to click to see my attachments again.
I liked the version comment piece. I haven't seen that anywhere else other than in the Subversion version control system. It's great in that it allows room to give meaning to the new revision, rather than just content.
UPDATE, 4/16/07 11:38 PM EST:
The Manage Attachments thing was confusing. I thought I could change the title by simply putting text in the text box and clicking on "save" for the whole page. It looks as though I have to click on the "change titles" button instead, and that changing the title is outside of what's considered a new version. I haven't tried it yet -- I'll try it out and post another update.
UPDATE, 4/16/07 11:42 PM EST:
Oops. I had forgotten to actually change the title. I'm going to do that now. I sure hope I don't lose what I'm doing in order to do that.
... changing title... clicking "change titles" button... success! The titles are changed. However, I still have to click save to save the text I'm typing right now. It seems the save button does not apply to changes made to attachments (my initial thought -- intuition? -- was that it would).
