nick -- i look at forums, do misled youth which is similar to icarus

molly -- this position is collaboration with empties, paying attention
of the website, using it, showing what needs are

communicate. coordinator position is working with volunteers. all of us

emerging groups. how do we do distro stuff -- care packages for people

will -- keeping track of organizers and contacts and putting people in
database

michael -- yes collab btwn support, outreach, and administration as
 well
with database out of ny office. putting together care package can do
this out of ny -- work with support to get that info out there

molly -- this is where teams overlap. database where we put stuff in.
great opportunity to look back in time, when did we check in with
people, track where info and publications materials go,

will -- tracking when we do tours, send out emails to contacts

mimi -- democracy in action software is only as centralized as we want
it to be -- doesn't have to be based anywhere, molly and mimi can have
same permissions to access database. centralizing distro in nyc, have
access to materials for care packages, satellite distro also good

molly -- all coordinators should have stack of promo material to distro
 out

want to see icarus more involved in film project, give money, get on
board with this. also working with translation of hrg to german

molly -- has idea for seed grants, create procedure around how to
support individ artists and initiatives like film projects. matching
system? offer part funding , in-kind, create letters, people themselves

michael -- madness radio interview was really great. very cool, whole
format -- to be wherever you want to be over the phone, speaking into
 phone

will -- interview was incredible, do you want to listen to it, you are
incredible, do more public speaking

how do we decide who to recruit? getting new people as stipended

mimi -- we still need educ/outreach co-collaborator with michael. need
to talk about process of who that person is.

michael -- talked with sasch and mimi, wants to help with job desc,
needs feedback from everyone, what should be in job desc. making it a
public process much same way mimi was hired. also heads up

molly -- looking outside, getting more diversity. but also feel strange

posting this like a real job. so much of this is a labor of love. not
like a real clock in clock out job. don't want to see stipend as main
reason. we all need livelihood, but weird to post as traditiional
employment, it's technically not.

michael -- agree but all it means to me is hiring process has to be
taken seriously, weed folks out, look for right person, give heads up
to. been involved in nyc for a while and people in role like this have
stepped back, maybe not permanently but not sure if they want to step
back in. not a large pool to choose from in icarus in nyc.

mimi -- we can in hiring process -- it's not b+w -- not either labor of

love or just clock punch. you can say specific things in job desc like
collective, non-hierarchical, i came because there was $ involved, but
not here just for the $.

michael -- mimi shows process of exploring outside people works.

molly -- can put together core responsibility for all coordinators

michael -- large part of this will be campus icarus

will -- think about where campus icarus overlaps and doesn't overlap in

job description

council before offering or publicizing.

procedures that each team has. as each team is forming, right now on
payroll and stuff think about creating that policy document, who sends
what to who on second tues or whatever procedure is, documents each
 team
has, as we are coming together and seeing what policies and procedures
fall under each domain.
