Basic Concept
Melkjug sifts through a big pile of articles that you might read, but don't have time to, and picks out a small pile of articles that are the most important and relevant articles to you.
Articles will be picked based on both directly specified criteria in addition to an automated recommendation system. Although we're starting with only a few, we expect the characteristics that can be used to pick articles to be an evolving area of the design.
Users can directly weight how much particular factors are influencing the selection of articles and 'tune in' a specific set of stuff at any time.
Some examples of characteristics
- where the article came from
- who wrote the article
- how many diggs the article has
- how many comments the article has
- how much a friend of yours liked it
- the geographic location the article is related to
