Kickoff

March 10, 2008:

Official project kickoff (signup for skins) (DONE)


March 13, 2008:

Best practices finalized so skinning can commence. (DONE, ongoing)

Milestone 1: (First batch of skins. Goal: 10 skins)

April 10, 2008:

Date first skin is due. Expected results are that the skin has been fully vetted by the skinner against all relevant browsers. Skinners who owe designs for this milestone include:

      April 11, 2008:

      Call for testers will commence, and testers will claim skins to review. Test matrix will be compiled and posted. Done.

      April 14, 2008:

      Final call for skins ready for testing. Done.

      April 29, 2008:

      Group QA and best practices review for all skins generated by April 10, 2008 will be complete. Done.

      May 4, 2008:

      Final check-in of fully vetted skin. Skin will be committed to subversion, flagged with the necessary information, and officially ready for release.

      April 30, 2008:

      Second selection of possible designs for skinning will be posted to the group and signups will be requested. Done.

      May 9, 2008:

      Signups for skinning should be complete.

      Initial designs for revisions to plone.org will be presented to the team for commentary.

      Milestone 2: (Second batch of skins. Goal: 10 skins)


      May 31st, 2008

      Date second skin is due. Another 10 skins are the goal. Expected results are that the skin has been fully vetted by the skinner against all relevant browsers. Skinners who owe designs for this milestone include: (TBD)

      Round two of revisions to plone.org theming section design will be presented to the team for commentary.


      June 10, 2008:

      Group QA and best practices review for all skins generated by May 30, 2008 will be complete.

      Final revisions to plone.org theming section will be completed and submitted to programmer (SteveM or similar) for implementation.


      June 16, 2008:

      Final check-in of fully vetted skin. Skin will be committed to subversion, flagged with the necessary information, and ready for release.

      Milestone 3: Implementation of changes to plone.org and official announcement of 3.0 skins, third batch of skins.

      June 10, 2008 (approx)

      Third selection of possible designs for skinning will be posted to the group and signups will be requested. Goal: 5-10 skins.

      June 5, 2008 (approx)

      Theming section changes put into place, round 1.

      June 10, 2008 (approx)

      Team members will evaluate the plone.org theming section and submit feedback to Veda and SteveM.


      June 15, 2008 (approx)

      Official kickoff of plone.org Theming Section.
