So, as 2007 draws to a close (I know it’s only November, but I’ve already bought all my christmas presents so I’m feeling a little ahead of schedule), it seems appropriate that we take a moment to look back on what we’ve accomplished this year, and think about where we’re headed for 2008.
Rather than try to sum up a year in my own words, I thought I’d put it out to you. Here are a few questions to get you started (relating to OpenCore/OpenPlans and TOPP):
- What are you most proud of from 2007?
- If you could change one thing about 2007, what would it be?
- What would you like to accomplish in 2008?
- Any new years resolutions?

nickyg, i have to say. I love your illustrations every time you post a new plan of action, blog post of wiki page. [what, are you of the black Friday spices? Or did you buy all your presents online???}

In relation to your question. Here’s one short term objective we had given ourselves last November –it is a bit general but maybe it starts answering some of your questions.
Nov 2006 - 6 month objective: “Solving some people’s real problems in the world”.
Are we? Is that still what we want to be doing?

Ok, I’ll bite.
* What are you most proud of from 2007?
At work, I feel like 06-07 recruitment is pretty Mission Accomplished. 7 great new Developers, RP, Sonali, Lily, Carly, Elizabeth, Streetsbloggers, 3 interns (including Nick!). I think we’ve really built more org
* If you could change one thing about 2007, what would it be?
I would have liked to focus more on building our organizational capacity, not just our software development capacity.
* What would you like to accomplish in 2008?
Me:
1) Web Designer.
2) More broadly, develop organizational capacity.
TOPP
1) Figure out our business goals.
2) Comfortable, regular communication about how to make TOPP an even better place to work. I’d like to help make the office a place where everyone knows what’s going on and where everyone feels like they have the power to constantly improve their surroundings.
* Any new years resolutions?
Blog.
