i18n stuff

Most of the opencore package has been marked appropriately for i18n translation. A fake “az” translation has been created to serve as a test language for flunc. Flunc has been modified to test off this translation by default. A utility has been created to assist in keeping the “az” language up-to-date. For a full explanation see here.

Right now I’d like to branch the ftests to replace all the hardcoded text with the appropriate message ids. From here we could extend the “az” translation to sub in message variables values so that flunc can test against them as well.

opencore.stats

The groundwork is in place with this to support drilling into the ZODB to reveal useful statistics on opencore site usage.

TOPP News #2

On it’s way… out… the … door.

What Paul’s been up to this iteration:

  • initial steps to get PleiadesGeocoder working with projects - promising, but nothing to show yet; should be easy though.
  • a bit of random code cleanup
  • learning expeditions spelunking through various parts of the opencore code (and bits of Plone)
  • a bugfix here and there, including hacking around new bugs introduced by the recent Plone hotfix.

And most importantly, I tweaked my I ~/.xscreensaver to look like this:

pywars2.png

Yes, it scrolls up. The config line for that looks like:

GL: starwars -root -program "python -c 'import this'" n

Yes, I am a big dork.
