ArchGenXML and Genesis

ArchGenXML
We did loads of work to cleanup ArchGenXML and make it Plone 3.0 ready in September. So we want to release a version 2.0 soon. Planning/ starting the next steps to make ArchGenXML better will be a task as well.Besides this technical task we need to make a better documentation. I already started ArchGenXML 2.0 manual. Its incomplete and some part need to be proofed or rewritten for better understanding. Best-practices need to be added, examples too. Newbies or Doc-Writer are welcome to help with this.
- Documentation: http://plone.org/documentation/manual/archgenxml2
- ArchGenXML SVN: https://svn.plone.org/svn/archetypes/ArchGenXML/trunk/ (TRAC)
Genesis
Yes, it is there. I spend some time with conceptional work on it. Genesis is not the Eclipse-Plugin-Thing whats around. Genesis will not be the same as ArchGenXML is. It will use model-transformations and a Python-Model, a Zope-Model, a Grok-Model and for sure a UML-model (but isnt limited to UML).I made Coral work on Debian and Ubuntu. Theres a .deb-File now. Coral is a great meta-modelling framework which will saves lot of time: It offers a mature API/Library and a basic UI for creation of metamodels and interactive experimenting with models.
Planned Tasks:
- research about/ create a metamodel for the language python (pure).
- read python into a coral-model based on the meta-model.
- write python out of the coral-model
Genesis is a project is at OpenPlans
