Post your questions and comments here on why aspects of Plone4Artists software suite were done the way they were and Rocky will do his best to cover them. Rocky will also give a talk sometime later this week and try to hammer them out for everyone to hear.
Questions / Comments
Q: Why do the p4a products get installed in Plone4ArtistsSite/pythonlib ? (siebo)
A: pythonlib is a special directory that gets added to sys.path (PYTHONPATH) so anything that lives in pythonlib can be imported absolutely like "from p4a import audio". Otherwise, if pythonlib wasn't added to sys.path, the import statement would have to look like "from Products.Plone4ArtistsSite.pythonlib.p4a import audio" which is pretty ugly.
Q: What happened to Plone4ArtistsAudio product ? (sallyk)
A: Plone4ArtistsAudio is still around, we just chose to use Plone4ArtistsSite which includes all p4a functionality so it'd be easier for everyone to debug each other's setup problems.
