yes, this is exactly remember's scope.  it will be very similar to  
CMFMember, but it is built using membrane and PAS as the underlying  
infrastructure, instead of the persistent user objects of old-school  
user folders.

heh.  yes, the timeline for an initial beta release is Real Soon Now,  
for some definition of Soon.  most of the core functionality is in  
place, but it needs more and better tests (and user testing), and  
some path for CMFMember migration needs to be built.  you can find  
out a bit more about what needs to happen by looking at the topics  
that are on the slate for the sprint that will happen after

proposed-topics.  i expect that this list will change somewhat before  
that sprint, b/c some of the stuff will be completed beforehand, but  
i'm using that page as my working document right now for what needs  
to be done.
