I can wait for that.. if you need help testing, let me know.. I can install
your version and see if it fixes the problem. Right now,  I am just starting
so my site is empty...

no, by trunk i mean trunk.  svn trunk.  there's a 1.4 branch, and then
there's 
the trunk.  the fix i made originally is on the trunk, but never made it to 
the 1.4 branch.

i've gotten the go-ahead to merge my fix to the 1.4 branch, but i need to 
write a couple of unit tests, hope to get to that today or tomorrow.
