  • Membrane 1.1b1 released

from ra on May 22, 2008 03:10 PM
    hi all,

i've just released the first beta release of Membrane 1.1. this doesn't
include any new features... just bug-fixes, (major) performance improvements,
and removal of Plone 2.5 compatibility.

this is also the first release of Membrane that is packaged in a setuptools
compatible fashion. you can now install Membrane as an egg into your python
environment, although it's highly recommended that you use either buildout or
virtualenv to isolate your environment from that of the system. if you want
to install membrane the old-fashioned way (by just dropping it in the Products
directory) you will not want the top level directory, you'll want to pull the
'membrane' folder out of the distribution's own Products dir.

    enjoy,

    -r
