  • Woonerf Design round up, tomorrow 11 AM

    from nickyg on 2008-05-07 16:51
    Hey designers!

    Great progress so far on the Woonerf redesign -- things are really
    coming together nicely.

    Let's have a conference call tomorrow morning at 11am (Chris, Phil,
    Rollie, Me, Carly optional), to review the remaining work, clarify
    anything that needs clarification, and divide up the work. Phil will
    be available starting tomorrow, and Rollie will also be chipping in.

    Everyone should review the following links before the call:

    Housekeeping:
    * Production status: http://www.openplans.org/projects/streets/woonerf-v2-production-status
    * Calendar: http://www.openplans.org/projects/streets/to-do-for-livable-streets-network-release

    Stage sites:
    * Stage Sblog: http://mouna.openplans.org/~openplans/stage.streetsblog.org/trunk/
    * Stage Sfilms: http://mouna.openplans.org/~openplans/stage.streetfilms.org/trunk/
    * Stage Groups: http://mouna.openplans.org:3000/projects/
    * Stage Swiki: http://mouna.openplans.org:3000/streetswiki/

    New mockups from Carly (first drafts -- just posted):
      * LSN Home: http://skitch.com/cclark/myrb/lsn-homepage-100-rgb-preview
      * Groups Home: http://skitch.com/cclark/mydu/groups-homepage-100-rgb-preview

    Agenda for the phone call:
      * Review production status and calendar
      * Review specific screens as necessary, to clarify any details that
    might cause confusion
      * Divide up work

    Ok, thanks guys. Looking forward to it. See you tomorrow at 11.

    Hey guys,

    Good meeting this morning -- I think it was very helpful to go over
    everything together.

    Here's the recap:

    We reviewed the sites and updated the Production Status wiki with a
    bunch of notes. http://www.openplans.org/projects/streets/woonerf-v2-production-status

    We worked out a strategy for the next week+: get the remaining big
    pieces finished first, then go back over everything to do detail work
    and polish.

    We divided up important chunks of work between folks:

    Carly:
    	Produce banner graphics (silhouettes) for remaining sites (LA sblog,
    sfilms, groups, etc.)

    Chris:
    	Continue work on LS groups interior pages: Discussion, Pages, Blog
    	then... Copy over remaining sblog widgets (featured vids, top 20)

    Phil
    	Pick up new screen (LSN home, Groups home) from Carly. Work with CC,
    NG, AN to revise as necessary. Then produce.

    Rollie
    	HTML for Project Summary page
    	Navigation & Sidebar template work (with rmarianski)

    Bryan/Nick/Aaron
    	Reword account/tour page to make sense from all entry points.

    We'll be redeploying all the stage sites tomorrow, so we'll finally be
    able to see everything fully connected. Woohoo!

    Thanks,
    Nick

      Hey nick,

      Sorry I wasn't there for this. I thought I was going to make it, but
      a space emergency popped up and I was dealing with a bunch of issues.
      I knew this day would be nuts, but I really thought I would be there.

      Sorry again. It's really not like to me to miss stuff.

        Hey Bryan,

        No problem -- we actually weren't expecting you to be there; sorry if
        that wasn't clear from my first email. We just used this meeting to
        sync up design production tasks between Chris, Phil and Rollie.
