3.0.4 btw) to make my type wiki-aware and registered as a WikedPortalType?

if you are using a subclass of ATDocument and turn on wiki behavior for pages, it may just work. Essentially, there is a directive that marks the field you want to be wiki enabled, then an interface for the content object itself. With sublclasses, I think this should all be working, but let me know if it doesn't and I'll help you with a solution.
