Concerning the underwear or when it comes to clothes, everybody  
needs, I would expect the headline "Basics" or is this a denglisch  
word? And basics in this notion does not mean underwear.

it really is a standard brief (actually, the cut is called american  
standard)
it's the sort of underwear you girlfriend sorts out.

Idiomatic phrases in an international can cause misunderstandings. I  
fear idiomatic icons even more.
