QuickRef Builder Idea
last modified February 4 by jeremy
Most QuickRef sheets are broken down into subsections, e.g., a quickref on Zope/Plone Page Templating would probably have subsections including TAL, TALES, METAL, DTML, etc. I often have found that I basically ignore many sections on any sheet. I also often wish that I could combine subsections from different sheets into one sheet.
So, why not create a product that would allow you to input subsections ("reflets"?), then pick-and-choose the ones you want to combine them into a custom quickref? I could envision using an interface similar to Google's iGoogle pages for setting up the custom sheet. You could even have a PDF creation feature that would allow the user to specify a PDF template (e.g., single 8.5x11 page, single 8.5x14 page, tri-fold 8.5x11, etc.) then arrange the reflets and produce a ready-to-print PDF.
