Open Plans interns gain real-world experience in advocacy, research and public policy. Working closely with a staff mentor, interns pursue a specific project for the duration of their internship. With their mentors, interns gain valuable connections and learn from insiders in communities, city agencies and fellow advocacy organizations.

Livable Streets Intern
Join Open Plans as a summer intern and dive into hands-on work making New York City a more livable place for everyone. You will have the opportunity to work directly with Open Plans staff on a variety of projects and campaigns, tailored to your interests and skills and connecting to Open Plans’ current campaigns and needs. Our summer cohort works and learns together as a group and completes an individual project with a staff mentor, as well.
