Jackie Lombardi
Jackie Lombardi joined Open Plans to lead campaign work in Lower Manhattan, building the coalitions and stakeholder relationships needed to reimagine streets and public space in her neighborhood. She brings years of experience in climate and urban transportation work, turning research and analysis into policy change and coalition-driven results.
Most recently, Jackie worked at the World Resources Institute advancing clean transportation and climate policy in New York and nationally. Prior to that, she spent four years at RMI, where she researched and advocated for shifting transportation investment toward transit, biking, and walking, and made the case for compact, mixed-use housing as a climate strategy that also helps address the national housing shortage. She also managed a U.S. DOT technical assistance program spanning 15 communities. Earlier in her career, she worked in renewable energy development at Invenergy and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
She holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado Boulder, and is an associate board member of BetaNYC.
