Daylighting bill dies in City Council

Speaker Adams did not bring CM Julie Won’s bill, Int. 1138 to a vote this session, which would have given New Yorkers more visibility at intersections. We are deeply disappointed in this result.

This is a setback in the fight for daylighting but we will not be deterred. The safety of every child walking to school and every driver on our streets is at stake. Alongside our coalition partners and New Yorkers from every borough, we will continue to fight for daylighting as a top priority for city council and our new Mayor come January.
